Marking 15 years since Ra. One's release on October 26, 2011, Bollywood Hungama conducted an exclusive interview with Charanpreet Siingh, who played a long-haired goon in an action sequence outside an airport. The scene features G.One (Shah Rukh Khan) stopping mid-kick so close to the goon's face that his hair flies as if caught by a powerful wind from the shoe.

Siingh, who had recently arrived in Mumbai from Dehradun, landed the role through connections in the film industry. He was recommended by Siddharth Sengupta (later director of Good Luck Jerry) to Harish Dinkar, an assistant director on Ra. One, after being asked to find an actor with long hair. Siingh was selected and flown to Hyderabad for a 15-day shoot.

Despite his small role, Siingh was impressed by Shah Rukh Khan's demeanor and accessibility. He recalled exchanging greetings daily and being surprised when Khan remembered his name after their introduction. When Siingh asked for a photograph on the final day, Khan obliged warmly, calling him by his nickname: "Haan, haan, Charan. Aa ja." Siingh noted that this moment made him realise the impact of working alongside such a major star and credited Khan with making him feel comfortable and special.

Khan also provided acting guidance before the scene was shot, explaining the importance of visualization and getting into character. Though the scene had no dialogue, Khan put his hand on Siingh's shoulder, took him aside, and instructed him to mentally rehearse the action so his angry expressions would appear naturally. The scene gained notice among industry figures; director Tigmanshu Dhulia recognised Siingh from the close-up shot and later cast him in Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster Returns (2013).

Siingh has since worked on multiple film projects as an actor and dialect coach, and recently directed two films: Unfinished Story (2022) and Draped In Silence (2025), the latter of which premiered at the first International Film Festival Delhi and will screen at IFFI 2026 in Goa.
