Actor Abhishek Bachchan has spoken positively about his forthcoming action thriller King, which he is making with Shah Rukh Khan, describing it as his favourite film. In an interview with BBC, Bachchan explained that Shah Rukh Khan has repeatedly taken personal responsibility for his career development, including involvement in King. Bachchan also reflected on Khan's role as a mentor figure during his early career days, recalling how Khan would occasionally join him and other aspiring actors—including Uday Chopra, Hrithik Roshan, and Sikandar Kher—when they played cricket at filmmaker Aditya Chopra's residence on Sundays. Bachchan characterised Khan as an elder brother figure who provided important career guidance during his formative years in the industry.
