Shah Rukh Khan's sea-facing Mumbai residence Mannat is one of the most recognisable celebrity homes in the city. In an upcoming episode of the Star Plus quiz show India Ke Top 1%, Anil Kapoor shares personal memories about how Shah Rukh Khan acquired the property. A contestant on the show expressed her wish to buy a sea-facing home similar to Mannat, prompting Anil to recount Shah Rukh's long-held aspiration and how he eventually realised it.

Anil recalled his early friendship with Shah Rukh, saying they met while he was shooting Benaam Badshah and he immediately sensed the actor would become a major star. He revealed that Shah Rukh had previously lived in a flat on Carter Road and would speak about his dream of owning a large bungalow overlooking the sea. Anil shared that he witnessed Shah Rukh purchasing Mannat and fulfil this dream.

Anil also disclosed a professional connection to the property itself: he had shot scenes for the film Tezaab at the same bungalow before it became Shah Rukh's residence.
