Shah Rukh Khan fans in Hyderabad are organizing special screenings of the 1995 romantic classic Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (DDLJ) across three single-screen theatres to celebrate the actor's 61st birthday on November 2. The screenings, scheduled for 7:30 AM, will take place at Sri Sai Ram Theatre in Malkajgiri, Sudarshan Theatre, and Sai Ranga Theatre in Miyapur.

This marks a significant return for DDLJ to Hyderabad's single-screen circuit after approximately 20 years. The last known special screening at a single-screen venue was at the Ramakrishna 70mm theatre in Abids during the film's 10th anniversary celebration in 2005, years after its original 1995 release.

Fans and organizers expressed enthusiasm about the milestone event. A member of the Shah Rukh Khan Hyderabad fan club told media that the actor represents more than just cinema to his fanbase. "Shah Rukh Khan is not just an actor for us; he is an emotion," the fan club representative stated. They noted that since no official SRK Day event is occurring in Mumbai this year, Hyderabad fans are bringing that celebratory energy to the city.

CinemaScope, organizing the screening at Sai Ranga Theatre, confirmed plans for fan activities beyond the film itself, including confetti celebrations, specially edited Shah Rukh Khan fan videos, and a 90-minute concert documenting his career from debut to iconic moments. A company representative noted surprise at the positive reception from Telugu cinema audiences, emphasizing the cross-language appeal: "Many people appreciated the idea of Telugu audiences celebrating Shah Rukh Khan. This is what Indian cinema should be about – celebrating films and artists beyond language barriers." Approximately 60 percent of available tickets had sold by the time of the interview, though organizers prioritized creating a memorable fan experience over achieving full occupancy.
