Filmmaker Karan Johar, host of the talk show Koffee With Karan, has declared Shah Rukh Khan his standout guest across all seasons of the programme. When asked by Karisma Kapoor to rank Shah Rukh Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranveer Singh, Aamir Khan, Alia Bhatt, and Varun Dhawan by their best show performances, Karan refused to provide a ranked list. Instead, he stated: "Every time Shah Rukh has come, he's been amazing," and then emphasised the point further by saying "Shah Rukh Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Shah Rukh Khan."

Karan noted that Shah Rukh Khan has consistently been a defining presence on the show, delivering wit, candour, and charm that the programme values. By declining to rank anyone above or alongside him, Karan effectively positioned Shah Rukh Khan as the show's gold standard guest.

The conversation took a lighter turn when Karisma Kapoor asked Karan to name an actor apart from himself who looks good without a shirt. This led to a mention of Salman Khan's comments, referencing the opening episode of the last season. Salman had stated: "Shah Rukh right now is looking damn good without a shirt." This compliment from Salman, an actor historically known for that particular image, added significance to the exchange.

The timing of these remarks coincides with Shah Rukh Khan's career resurgence. His 2023 releases—Pathaan, Jawan, and Dunki—re-established him at the centre of theatrical releases. Pathaan and Jawan became major box office successes, while Dunki added another high-profile project to a notable year. Shah Rukh Khan is currently preparing for his next release, King, scheduled for Christmas 2026. Karan Johar's emphatic endorsement and Salman Khan's compliment reflect the momentum Shah Rukh Khan has regained in recent years.
