Actress Neha Dhupia has revealed that she turned down an opportunity to appear in Shah Rukh Khan's 2007 sports drama 'Chak De! India', a decision she now regrets. During a recent chat show appearance, Dhupia disclosed that she had declined offers for both 'Chak De! India' and the Netflix web series 'Operation Safed Sagar', stating she missed chances to work on a sports film and a military-themed project that she had long wanted to be part of.
'Chak De! India', produced by Yash Raj Films, was a major commercial and critical success. The film starred Shah Rukh Khan as Kabir Khan, a former captain of India's men's hockey team who becomes coach of the national women's hockey team and leads them toward victory. The cast also included Vidya Malvade, Shilpa Shukla, Sagarika Ghatge, and Chitrashi Rawat.
Dhupia also expressed regret about turning down 'Operation Safed Sagar', a Netflix series released earlier in 2026 that was well-received by audiences. The series draws inspiration from the Indian Air Force's role in the 1999 Kargil War and features actors including Sidharth, Jimmy Sheirgill, Abhay Verma, Dia Mirza, and Adil Hussain in principal roles.
Dhupia's film career began with her 2003 Bollywood debut in 'Qayamat: City Under Threat', followed by appearances in films including 'Julie', 'Kyaa Kool Hai Hum', 'Singh Is Kinng', and 'Tumhari Sulu'. Beyond cinema, she has worked across television and digital platforms. In May 2026, she launched a YouTube chat show titled 'Double Date' alongside her husband, Angad Bedi.
