Shah Rukh Khan disclosed during an interactive session on X that he sustained multiple injuries while filming his upcoming action thriller King, which necessitated halting production and resuming work several times. He confirmed that he has since recovered fully and been cleared to continue, with the film nearing completion ahead of its scheduled December 24 release.

When discussing the physical demands of the shoot with director Siddharth Anand, Khan described spending considerable time suspended from wires and harnesses, characteristic of the large-scale action sequences Anand is known for. He remained adamant that the film's release date would not shift despite competing Hollywood releases the same week, affirming the project remains on track.

The film reunites Khan with actors Deepika Padukone and Rani Mukerji, and marks the screen debut of his daughter Suhana Khan. Produced under Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment banner, King represents his first theatrical release since Dunki in 2023.
