Shah Rukh Khan's film King has entered its final shooting phase ahead of its December 24, 2026 release date. Director Siddharth Anand resumed production on October 11 in Mumbai, with cast and crew filming high-stakes action sequences at a studio in Andheri East starting October 12. The production aims to complete all action portions by mid-October, after which focus will shift to a newly added dance track featuring Suhana Khan, to be shot on a large set at Film City. Choreographers Piyush Bhagat and Shazia Samji are designing the song sequence. The team is simultaneously working on visual effects completion ahead of release.

King is an action thriller marking the first on-screen collaboration between Shah Rukh Khan and his daughter Suhana Khan. The ensemble cast includes Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, Abhishek Bachchan, and Jaideep Ahlawat. For Suhana, this represents a major theatrical debut following her streaming appearance in Netflix's The Archies in 2023, positioning her alongside established industry names under the direction of filmmaker Siddharth Anand, known for high-energy action spectacle.

The film arrives during a significant phase of Shah Rukh Khan's career. His 2023 releases—Pathaan, Jawan, and Dunki—demonstrated his range across different scales and genres while reinforcing his box-office dominance. King is positioned as his next confirmed theatrical release and carries particular industry attention due to the father-daughter pairing, the scale of production, and its placement in the year-end holiday release corridor.
