A new poster for Shah Rukh Khan's upcoming action thriller 'King' has generated massive online excitement. The film is produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures, marking Khan's second collaboration with director Siddharth Anand following the 2023 blockbuster Pathaan.

In the poster visuals, Khan sports silver hair and a brooding, menacing expression — a departure from his romantic hero image of the 1990s. A notable symbolic element shows him holding a King of Hearts card as a weapon, referencing his "King Khan" nickname. The poster follows a title teaser carrying the viral tagline in Hindi: "Infamous in a hundred nations, the world gave me only one name — King."

Social media platforms were flooded with fan reactions celebrating the announcement. Celebrity reactions came from Karan Johar, Bipasha Basu, Mrunal Thakur, Sussanne Khan, Vivek Oberoi, and others expressing enthusiasm. Khan's wife Gauri Khan, daughter Suhana, and Deepika Padukone shared the visuals on Instagram Stories. His son Aryan Khan reposted the teaser with a single word caption: "Baap."

The ensemble cast includes Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, Abhishek Bachchan, Suhana Khan, Arshad Warsi, Raghav Juyal, Jaideep Ahlawat, Jackie Shroff, Anil Kapoor, and Saurabh Shukla. The film holds personal significance as Suhana Khan's theatrical debut and her first feature alongside her father, following her appearance in the Netflix film The Archies. King is described as a high-octane action entertainer representing director Siddharth Anand's most ambitious project. The film is scheduled for theatrical release on December 24, 2026. Khan's last theatrical release was Dunki in December 2023, making King his first theatrical film in nearly three years.
