According to the Hurun India Rich List 2026, Shah Rukh Khan ranks as the wealthiest Bollywood actor with a net worth of Rs 10,000 crore. However, Gayatri Oberoi, who starred opposite Khan in the 2004 film Swades, is married to real estate entrepreneur Vikas Oberoi, whose wealth is assessed at Rs 48,100 crore, placing him as the 59th richest person in India. Vikas's wealth increased from Rs 42,960 crore in the previous year's list.

Gayatri began her career as a VJ in the late 1990s before appearing in Swades, which became her breakthrough role and earned her several debut awards. She quit acting in 2005 after marrying Vikas, choosing to focus on family life. In a 2019 interview, she explained her decision to leave films, stating she wanted to fully commit to her marriage and raise a family rather than balance both careers.

The couple resides in a nine-storey bungalow spanning 75,000 square feet in Mumbai's Juhu area, designed by Italian architect Piero Lissoni. The residence features luxury amenities including a cinema, gym, spa, and rooftop infinity pool overlooking the Arabian Sea, and houses artwork by renowned Indian artists. Gayatri and Vikas have two sons together.
